These Glee Stars Are So Nothing Like Their Characters

Just a role!
Cory Monteith may seem like a natural playing Finn Hudson, the sensitive star quarterback who gets forced into glee club, and actually likes belting out musical lyrics and working jazz hands.
That was so not the case for Cory during his formative years.
“I was kind of an outsider in high school. I didn’t gravitate much to any particular group. I didn’t play sports, and I didn’t sing or dance or any of that,” he confesses to the TV DivaGal.
So what did you do, Cory?
“I had a job. I was washing cars at a Ford lot in my hometown,” says the Victoria, British Columbia native. “High school wasn’t for me.”
If the series casting had been based on real-life experience, Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Goth girl Tina Cohen-Chang, would have starred in another Glee role.
“I was the overachiever, like Rachel Berry,” Jenna shares.
“I was in glee club and theater and was president of student council.”
Busy girl!
Isn’t great that we can be someone entirely different once we get out of high school?
Glee, the series premiere, airs Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
