Hey Divas! I’ve been following Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion, which is now available to purchase, for the past two weeks now. One of the things I love most about the program is the schedule, as the most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning.
By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are the hungriest.
In the book, Joel dispels several myths on why breakfast is touted as the most important meal of the day and studies support this. In one study Joel shares, he writes: “Those who ate breakfast ended up eating about 260 calories more a day, the review found. Those who skipped breakfast were about one pound lighter than those who ate breakfast. These findings led the researchers to conclude that eating breakfast isn’t necessarily a good strategy for losing weight. The science isn’t really there. Breakfast could very well be the least important meal of the day.”
I love not having to eat breakfast and I don’t feel hungry. My energy feels more spiked for the day and I can see that my stomach looks flatter than it has in previous weeks.
Following Joel’s detailed meal plan, I start my day with my 3-minute breakfast: a green tea or lemon water – did you know water aids in fat-burning, so stay hydrated! And then comes the eating. Joel has some great recipes in the book, which were designed with. One of my faves is the Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet. It has rice in it (whoever thought I’d eat rice again!), so I feel full with a smaller portion. Here Joel talks about more recipes that you can find in the book!
There’s a handy chart in Always Eat After 7 PM to know how much portion size you should be aiming for in each meal, including your late-night snack. As Joel shares, “Almost every other diet plan would tell you that after dinner, the kitchen is closed until the next day. Well, not this plan. The no-snacks rule is one you should definitely break if you want to bust cravings and keep burning fat overnight.” Yes, please!
