A Trip To Jamaica ΓÇô Strand by Strand!
By Delaina Dixon & Maureen Martin | March 18, 2015 | Food Fashion Style, TravelThe DivaGals got to escape to one of the sunniest places on earth — Montego Bay, Jamaica — to learn about the hottest new products from Strength of Nature Global.
The Jamaica Board of Tourism whisked us through customs so we could get to Royalton White Sands, an all-inclusive resort, for 72 hours of Caribbean bliss.
As part of the Diamond Club, we enjoyed VIP service in the lounge, where Jace and the staff served us cocktails and canapés and tended to our every need.
It was then off to ride on a catamaran, hosted by Island Routes. We have to say, we definitely enjoyed the view.
Back at White Sands, we enjoyed dinner at Zen, the resort’s hibachi restaurant. Dining is available around the clock; choices include restaurants, patio buffets and room service.
We presented The Color Of Beauty Icon Award to Charlene Dance, global director of Strength of Nature.
The next day, we hit River Bumpkin Farm. While most of our group chose to go tubing, a few of us hit the rocky trails on mountain bikes.
One brave soul hit the waves in a kayak.
Back at White Sands, we got the ROYALton spa treatment. Melonie soothed our knotty backs while Shanta-Kay revitalized our toes. Then we vegged out on the beach…
We dressed to impress for our Caribbean feast at Pier 1 Jamaica, with jerk chicken, crusted fish, peas and rice, veggies and salad. A few of us ventured out yet again to soak up the nightlife at Margaritaville Caribbean.
Of course, the trip was all about the hair. We attended Strength of Nature‘s Beauty presentation the where we learned about a wide variety of natural hair products designed to define, strengthen and restore. We’re loving the deep hydration of the butter and the lightweight oils from Soft & Beautiful Botanicals. SON not only understands the hair needs of their customers, but the depths of the brands loyalty is seen through the quality pricing and product development.
We met some of the coolest hair bloggers and hair enthusiasts on our journey, including YouTube star Taren Guy, Patrice Yursik of Afrobella.com, USA Today writer Arienne Thompson, Essence editor Nykia Spadley, S2Smagazine.com‘s Jonell Whitt and the grand dame of hair Adrienne Moore of Hype Hair magazine.
Thank you Jamaica. We can’t wait to come back for more!
