Treats Duet With The Chew’s Carla Hall!

Luxe Gal loves relaxing with a gourmet cookie and a nice cup of tea. So when I learned that Carla Hall, former Top Chef fan favorite and current co-host of ABC’s The Chew, had partnered her artisanal cookie company with Numi Organi Teas to produce a line of gourmet cookies and tea pairings, I had to indulge.

The cookies are a reflection of Carla’s travels, palate and aesthetic. My personal favorite was the lemon black pepper shortbread and the Cardamom Pu-erh tea. Carla Hall Petite Cookies and Numi Tea are presented as gift boxes, pairing the exotic flavors of NumiΓÇÖs organic tea blends and Carla’s lightly sweet artisanal cookies. Gift sets come in both sweet and savory combinations, either in small or large boxes.

The Savory Collection (small) ($16.99) includes six flavors of Numi Tea including Chamomile Lemon, EmperorΓÇÖs Pu-erh and Decaf Ginger Lemon; and two 3-ounce cups of the Hall’s bite-size cookies in cheddar pecan and goat cheese with dried cranberries, yum!

The Sweet Collection (small) contains aged Earl Grey, Mate Lemon, Rooibos Chai, Decaf Black Vanilla, Orange Spice, and Cardamom Pu-erh teas paired with lemon black pepper shortbread and oatmeal cranberry white chocolate cookies. The large gift boxes features three additional type of cookies: Mexican chocolate chip, almond ginger cherry shortbread, and Black Forest crinkle. The gift boxes are available at Whole Foods Market and online.

Carla has become a part-time New Yorker while shooting her ABC daytime series, and she loves visiting her favorite NYC restaurants.  I scored a list of some of her favorites, which include Jason Pickles UWS, Radiance (Asian cuisine), and ABC Cocina (Flatiron District).
