TV DIVAGAL ADVENTURE: Royal Pains' Summer Shirt Exchange GiveawayBy Delaina Dixon | June 7, 2010 | Entertainment
Royal Pains, which launched its second season last week, has found the perfect way to give back to the men and women who save real lives every day.
Last week TV DivaGal and hundreds of others descended upon Greeley Square Park in New York City for the show’s “Summer Shirt Exchange.” With the donation of a gently used top, you received a $50 gift certificate from Lacoste, and USA Network donated $10 to Doctors Without Borders in your name.
Armed with a cup of free lemonade, courtesy of USA Network, I headed over to the booth to turn in my tee. I filled out a form noting my donation, and watched it head into the big glass bin of shirts collected that day for HELP USA.
Along with my gift certificate, I got a cookie to nibble on while listening to tunes from The City‘s Tamarama (no spottings of Whitney Port, sorry!).
You can get in on the cause by visiting any Lacoste location in the nation. Just bring in a gently used polo shirt and receive 20 percent off one full-priced item in the store through June 20.
After all, you never when you may find yourself needing something to wear at the beach.
Royal Pains airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on USA Network.
