Finding Mr. Right sometimes takes a helping hand. That’s the theory behind Wings Inc., a NYC-based company that specializes in helping loveless New Yorkers find The One.
Now the company has scored its own reality show, Setup Squad, starring Renee Lee, dating coach expert and owner of Wings, and her fearless staff who go out nightly to make a love connection come true.
“Whatever dating challenge someone has, I outline what their goals are and then I send my people out in the field,” Renee shares with TV DivaGal, adding her team has “has to be extroverted. You have to be able to ballsy enough to do this, or you’re not going to be successful. I definitely hire a personality type that’s fearless. ”
Yep, you know that’s going to cause some friction inside the office!
“I have a diva on my team and a complainer and a person who tells it like it is,” Renee spills. “That does lead to some drama within.”
The person who tells it like it is just may be Meredith Schlosser, a real estate agent who also works as a wingwoman.
Her dating advice? “People are always relying on someone else to make the first move, so I encourage them to make the approach, and to be genuine,” Meredith shares.
“People are really insecure and shy, no matter how successful or pretty they may be,” Meredith explains. “So I tell them to be aggressive, but not to the point of being creepy.”
Renee also has this bit of advice. “The biggest mistake people make is revealing way too much on a first date,” she cautions. “People tell a stranger anything because they don’t have any connections, which you don’t have when you first meet someone. But saying too much can lead to someone being dismissive of you before they really get a chance to know you.”
Lesson here, DivaGals? Be yourself, but don’t reveal your deepest, darkest secrets until at least date two!
Setup Squad premieres Monday, April 25 at 11:30 p.m. on Logo.
