TV DivaGal Exclusive: Law & Order: SVU Guest Star Jill Scott on "Mean" Role!
By Delaina Dixon | March 23, 2010 | EntertainmentTV DivaGal has missed her weekly dose of Jill Scott since her hit HBO series The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency ended last year.
That’s why I’m so glad to see her back in her upcoming guest stint on Law & Order: SVU this week.
Jill plays the sister of a woman who has been raped and lost use of her voice. Unfortunately, these siblings are not in harmony.
“Her sister is an opera singer, very successful, and she’s not,” Jill tells the TV DivaGal exclusively. “There’s a level of jealousy and bitterness.”
It’s that family disconnect that leads detectives Stabler and Benson to believe someone close the victim is responsible for the crime, including her own sister.
“Well, my character is aggressive, angry and sad,” Jill teases. “And I’ll just say that she’s a little mean.”
Doing the episode, which also stars The Blind Side‘s Quinton Aaron, was, “absolutely amazing, one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had,” Jill exclaims. “It’s my favorite show, so to be on it was a dream come true.”
Catch Jill on Law & Order: SVU, Wednesday, March 24 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
