TV DivaGal Exclusive! Soul Train: The DVD Collection

The The Roots‘ Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson won’t have to lug around his favorite episodes of Soul Train in a back pack anymore!

The Last night, TV DivaGal got a sneak preview of Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America, a toe-tapping and uplifting documentary about the groundbreaking series. With headlining musical acts, funky dancers and costumes, and the soulful voice of host and creator Don Cornelius, the show, which lasted more than three decades, is hard to resist.

Now the iconic production has collaborated with Time Life to produce a 10-volume set of the series.

“In February, you can pre-order the Time Life volume,” it was revealed during the documentary’s premiere screening inside The Paley Center for Media in New York City.

“We’re very close to announcing an on-demand deal, so there will be Soul Train on demand.” Groovy!
