Three Reasons Why Shawntel May Be The Next Bachelorette
The season’s Bachelor Brad Womack sent funeral director Shawntel Nelson packing after she put him on the prep table inside her family’s funeral home. But Shawntel’s ready for her second life ΓÇô as the next Bachelorette. Here are three reasons why she would be good for the job.
1. It Would Be One Big, HappyΓǪ Funeral? Shawntel admits that, “usually I don’t take a guy on a first date to a funeral home.” But knowing that she only had weeks for Brad to fall in love with her, Shawntel felt that if Brad “wants to get down on his knee and propose to me… he might as well come into the funeral home and see what I grew up around and what I do.” Now imagine Shawntel taking 25 guys to her place of business. The reactions, from freaked out to fascinated, would be priceless.
2. She’s Emotional Enough To Handle It. According to Shawntel, it takes “a strong emotional person,” to be the Bachelor or Bachelorette. “YouΓÇÖre doing a lot of interviews. YouΓÇÖre up late and you need to be able to handle that.” With her background as a funeral director, Shawntel has learned to control her emotions. “IΓÇÖm very proud of myself and how I handled these weird situations,” says Shawntel, who pretty much kept her cool even in the strangest of circumstances during the show.
3. She Doesn’t Mind Dating Older Men. At 25, Shawntel is 14 years younger than Brad. But the age gap didn’t faze her. “It didnΓÇÖt even cross my mind as far as age goes,” she tells the TVDivagal. “It was more like, letΓÇÖs see how his personality is with mine.” Shawntel also says that she’s mature for her age. So the show could bring on more mature Bachelors, and maybe we’d actually get some guys who are ready to put a ring on it, not just earn a shot to get on the next Bachelor Pad.
