Three Reasons Why You’ll Watch Nurse Jackie This Season
By Delaina Dixon |
March 28, 2011 | EntertainmentNurse Jackie is back tonight, and surprise, the usually self-centered care-giver is actually thinking about someone else than herself, at least for a little while.
After her addiction was discovered last season by family and friends, Jackie’s working overtime (maybe for time and a half), to reclaim their love and trust. But it won’t be easy.
TV DivaGal sat down to break bread with several of the sassy series’ cast members and found out three reasons why we absolutely have to tune in for season three.
1. Kevin will try to show Jackie some forgiveness. “Oh yeah, for sure,” Dominic Fumusa, who plays Jackie’s husband, replied when asked if Kevin wants his marriage to Jackie to work. “Marriage is a bond that’s not broken lightly. They have two kids and that’s significant.” Spoiler Alert: Tables may turn when Jackie learns of a situation that will test their marriage yet again.
2. Friendships are put to the test. Jackie is going to have to work a lot harder to mend her fractured friendship with O’Hara.”You think girlfriends will always be on your side, so it’s devastating when another woman can betray you,” Eve Best says of her character’s volatile reaction to Jackie’s digressions. But in the name of true sisterhood, Jackie will extend the olive branch in every direction. “It’s the beginning of some sort of connection between them again, and it’s wonderful and painful and moving to see,” Eve shared.
3. An unlikely alliance will arise. Can you say: Coop and Thor, The Spin-Off? Indeed, these two very different men will find their own bond in season three. “It’s tough to call it a friendship, but it is,” said Stephen Wallem, who plays Thor, adding that Coop will seek out Thor’s assistance when he’s faced with a dilemma that only Thor can solve. Interesting!
