TV DIVAGAL with Tiffany & Debbie Gibson: How to Be a Great Girlfriend!

You already know that TV DivaGal had the moment of a lifetime when she got a chance to sing with Tiffany.

But it doesn’t stop there. At the premiere of Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid, the Syfy flick Tiffany stars in with Debbie Gibson this weekend, I asked the ’80s teen pop icons what it means to be a great girlfriend.

“She always has your back,” declared Tiffany. “It’s having someone you can trust and someone who is there for you, no matter what you do. Even if you’re wrong, she’ll say in a nice way, help you pick up the piece and get it moving. I have lifelong friendships that started before I was famous. They are the people I go to when I’m having a bad day or need a little kick in the butt.”

That must have come in handy more than 20 years ago when Tiffany and Debbie constantly found themselves pitted against each other. It’s one of the reasons they decided to star in the campy thriller about killer mutant snakes and alligators.

“Absolutely, it gave us a great chance to bond,” Tiffany shared.

As for Debbie, she says to be a great girlfriend, you gotta remember that, “it’s a sisterhood. There shouldn’t be jealousies, only support.” Debbie added, “Never go after your girlfriend’s man, I think that’s the unspoken rule. Offer her support and don’t go the route of being gossipy or catty.” Advice we can all follow!
