There’s a new reality duo in town. The premiere episode of Mary Mary airs tonight on WEtv, but of course, we DivaGals got a sneak peek at the launch party for the series Tuesday night! Sisters Erica and Tina Atkins-Campbell — Mary Mary — are lovely and warm, with a faithful following of fans who love their inspirational music.
Inside the TriBeCa Grand Hotel, we sipped pink “We-tinis” and snacked on southern food favorites: mac ‘n cheese, string beans and fried chicken. Much like the ladies it was scrumptious and a little a decadent, but absolutely tasteful.
Speaking of the ladies, we loved their big style and warm personalities. They are real life working mommy divas with three Grammy awards, y’all. And we got a little scoop: the ladies would love to record with fellow new mom Beyonce!
We’ll watch how they balance it all without breaking a sweat. And we think that when you tune in, you”ll have to stand up and shout “amen!” Mary Mary premieres Thursday, March 29 at 10 p.m. EST.
