TV SUMMER TOUR ’14: How NCIS: New Orleans’ Coroner Will Look!By Delaina Dixon | July 21, 2014 | Entertainment
CCH Pounder┬áhas taken on the role of the medical examiner Dr. Loretta Wade in NCIS’s latest incarnation, NCIS: New Orleans, and she gave a very clear pic of what her character will look like on the series.
ΓÇ£Looking around at literally hundreds of bodies and realizing that the soul is not there, the character that I am about to create is the person who attaches the unraveling of the mystery to the people who are left behind,ΓÇ¥ shared CCH during the showΓÇÖs media panel, explaining what she personally took away after visiting a morgue.
“I think Dr. Wade is going to have, indeed, that kind of Southwest feeling, because she comes from the Southwest, and I think she brought that spirituality with her to New Orleans.”
CCH elaborated even more for TV DivaGal. ΓÇ£You have to understand as a coroner, weΓÇÖre talking scrubs and white lab coats. But however the story happens, like on her way out of work or coming in, you will definitely see her. One of the things I did mention to the writers is that all the people that I met in the coroner’s office had a kind of joy and kind of happiness that I found extraordinary, and I wanted to make sure thatΓÇÖs part of it in the sense that they recognize what life is. I appreciated that.ΓÇ¥
Which means LorettaΓÇÖs going to love life outside of the office. ΓÇ£IΓÇÖm going to make her a dancing, knows bars in town, having a good time kind of gal — hair up, hair down, hair curled, hair fried. And it will be this color,ΓÇ¥ said CCH, proudly wearing her blonde and caramel-colored ‘fro.
We so know to call if we ever make our way down to the Bayou!
