TV DivaGal noticed something very clear in ABC’s new fall line-up of shows: the leading males are particularly well dressed.
That’s why she approached Anthony Anderson and John Cho at ABC Summer Press Tour 2014 to find out the secret to their fashion-savvy success. And, not surprisingly, these talented funny men had the same answer.
“You’ve got to start with good shoes and then build up,” shared John. His new series Selfie is a modern-day twist on My Fair Lady‘s Eliza Dooolittle, where his character Henry rebrands a self-obsessed social media queen.
Anthony, who stars on the the family series black-ish, broke down why footwear is so important to making a man, well, what he is. “It starts at the feet with good shoes. You can put on a raggedy pair of jeans, but if your shoes are on point, people think, I see what he’s about,” Anthony declared. “A nice quality shoe is an investment, that’s how I look at it. And I don’t mind spending money on a pair of shoes because a good pair of shoes are going to last me for years.”
Anthony’s favorites include Prada, Gucci and Harris. “When they get old and I walk a hole in them, I just have them resoled. A nice classic shoe, never goes out of style.”
Hmm, could this all be stemming from ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee? He’s got great taste in multicultural programming — we’re pretty sure he’s got great taste in footwear as well!
