The CW has grown up! Their new fall programs have an adult vein that seems to be the new trend for the network ΓÇô almost. We’re glad we’ll get to see a teen Carrie Bradshaw before she became an “It” girl in midseason series The Carrie Diaries. Here are the shows you’ll want to watch.
Emily Owens, M.D. (Tuesdays, 9 p.m.)
WHAT IT’S ABOUT. The nerdy girl from high school grows up to be a brilliant surgeon-in-training, but learns that the first real-life lesson is that hospitals are still pretty much like high school.
WHY YOU’LL WATCH. We can admit we’re already hooked on Emily. She represents the unsure, insecure girl that sometimes seeps out in all of us, and we can’t help but root for her to come out on top. We have a good feeling that she will.
Arrow (Wednesdays, 8 p.m.)
WHAT IT’S ABOUT. A rich playboy has been stranded on an island for five years. Now that he’s back in civilization, he can see what’s wrong with the world being civil.
WHY YOU’LL WATCH. This Arrow is out to right the wrongs of the world, but we’re just happy laying sight on his abs.
Beauty and The Beast (Thursdays, 9 p.m.)
WHAT IT’S ABOUT. A detective once saved by a mysterious and beastly stranger learns that nine years later, he’s still protecting her from harm.
WHY YOU’LL WATCH. It’s a story of a beautiful woman who is drawn to a man with a hideous exterior, and pure heart. Yes, we can see the beauty in that!
