TV DivaGal was utterly devastated by the news of Ugly Betty‘s cancellation (thank goodness there was chocolate in the house!).
Luckily, the dedicated cast is holding up better than I am!
“We all knew it was coming, we have been shifted and moved around, so we were a little bit prepared,” Ana Ortiz, who plays Betty’s sister Hilda, tells the TV DivaGal. “It’s been a lot of fun. Betty has given us so much opportunity.”
Michael Urie, who plays fabulous assistant-turned-junior fashion editor Marc St. James, will remember the incredible relationships he had on the show.
“I’ve explored all facets of being a best friend with Amanda, being a doting assistant to Wilhelmina and as a mentor/student, having a love-again, hate-again relationship with Betty and being on the other side of the mentor/student relationship with Justin,” says Michael, who starts previews of the theater production of The Temperamentals Feb. 18 in New York City.
“We have five more episodes to wrap all those things up, and I know that we will.”
So what’s coming up in the series finale?
“I’m seeing a big white wedding,” exclaims Ana. “There could be some sort of makeover in the works. Somebody’s trying to turn Hilda a little bit straight.”
Michael just has one wish for the writers.
“I want Marc to tell all those people that he loves them in his own way.”
Awww!
