WATCH FALL TV 2012: Leverage Summer Finale!

Start your official Fall TV Watch with an end! Leverage airs its summer finale tonight.

Leverage fans — including its biggest, TV DivaGal’s mom! — will get two episodes back-to-back tonight: “The Frame-up Job” and “The Rundown Job.”

In the first episode, Nate (Timothy Hutton) has to clear the good name of his partner (professional and personal) Sophie (Gina Bellman) after she is accused of an art heist. In the second episode, “The Rundown Job,” Eliot, Hardison and Parker join Colonel Vance (a returning Adam Baldwin) in a race to stop a terrorist from launching a biological attack on Washington, D.C.

TV DivaGal spoke exclusively with Aldis Hodge, who plays Hardison. During our conversation, I got the scoop on the sibling rivalry that often pops up between Eliot and his character.

“They’re the complete antithesis of one another which often puts them in direct competition,” Aldis explains. “Neither understands the other’s world too well. Hardison always has fun, which is strange to Eliot. But they actually complement each other perfectly.”

Five seasons have given Eliot and Hardison’s relationship time to mature and grow, to the point where Aldis doesn’t mind using the BFF moniker. Tonight’s job will definitely test that bond. “If there’s an episode that asks who is continuing in this team, it’s definitely “The Rundown Job,” Aldis declares. “Hardison and Eliot are off dealing with global warfare, and the three of us have to step up.”

“It’s a great episode of nonstop action. You really get to see them challenged and for Hardison, he really questions if this is the life he wants,” Aldis adds. Now that is a cliffhanger! Well, for Hardison’s sake, and TV DivaGal’s mom’s sanity, we’re hoping the whole team is back for season six!

Leverage, the two-hour summer finale, airs Sunday, Sept. 16 starting at 9 p.m. on TNT.

    This was such a great episode for the summer finale of Leverage! I am so happy with what we saw, and without giving any spoilers out, I love the new effects for HardisonΓÇÖs hacking skills! I am making my coworkers at Dish watch the finale tonight, and hopefully IΓÇÖll get them hooked into watching the whole series. I canΓÇÖt wait for November to get here, although I did record the whole season on my Hopper, thankfully, so I can re-watch the whole season during the hiatus. This has been such a great season so far, and I really hope that itΓÇÖs not the last. Last nightΓÇÖs episode shows how well Hardison, Eliot, and Parker can get along without Nate and Sophie.
