DivaGalsDaily contributor Angela Yvonne gets a finger up on the new series Nail’d It.

Oxygen has nailΓÇÖd it once again! Nail artists, 18 of the best, compete for the ultimate prize of $100,000 when NailΓÇÖd It premieres on the network tonight!

I chatted with Fingertip Fetish entrepreneur and co-host of The Real Adrienne Bailon, who hosts the new competition series, about what is on trend for the fall, how Spanish Harlem inspired her collection and what she has learned from experts, celebrity manicurist Terrance Terry (Nail Villain) and CND nail polish co-founder Jan Arnold.

Nail art is rapidly becoming a staple in the fashion world from classic to gaudy. Which one do you prefer on the daily, and what is your prediction for the fall trend this year?

I think Nude is going to be super trendy for the fall. I recently discovered a nail line that has nudes that matches you skin tone, I’m really excited about that. Also I see metal embellishments as something that will be hot in the fall. I love jewelry embellishments for your nails — combining classic and gaudy to make a statement.

If you could be a nail color, what color and what would your name be?

In my nail polish line Fingertip Fetish, we have a collection called “Made in NYC” which was inspired by the vibrant colors of the city. I would be the red, a fire engine red called “El Barrio” for Spanish Harlem, where a lot of my family is from.

You are working with the best in the nail world, Jan and Terrance, what would you say you learned from them?

Jan told me to find the right shape for my nails and that has made a huge difference. Learning the different techniques and verbiage for working in the nail world, they have opened my eyes to a lot.

NailΓÇÖd It premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. on Oxygen.
