WATCH THIS TONIGHT! Black Love on fyi, Network!

By   |   December 8, 2015   |   Entertainment

We know what you’ll be turning your TV to tonight Divas! fyi, is the network that┬áhas already brought us Married At First Site, that┬áseries where two strangers start their relationship by marrying one another the day they meet for the first time. Now it’s going there to help fellow brown girls find love in its new series Black Love, premiering tonight!

We caught up with┬áMonet Bell, who appeared in the first season of Married At First Sight┬á(unfortunately hers didn’t last), to find out what her new series is all about.

“Think Sex in The City if they were in group therapy,” Monet says with a chuckle. “It’s about five women in different places of love. Some are looking for love or have lost love; are trying to understand what love is and if they want it and being vulnerable enough to just simply accept love.”

Monet explains this isn’t a dating show.┬á”This is a docu-series chronicling the lives of women who are struggling in the dating department. I knew that I displayed behaviors that were inhibiting me from moving forward and meeting the right person. I wanted to figure out how I was getting in my own way, and meet some interesting men in the process.” Monet and her fellow love seekers have weekly workshops with relationships experts Damona Hoffman and Jack A. Daniels.

Monet shares that the experience has been helpful. “I feel like I was in an active period of growth, that I was able to actually see happening. There were many light bulb moments. This process for me started off about the pursuit of love, but ended with being more about the pursuit of self love and acceptance.”

Black Love premieres Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 10:15 p.m. on fyi,.
