WATCH THIS TONIGHT Gotham – Inside the Premiere Party!By Delaina Dixon | September 22, 2014 | Entertainment
The new Fall TV season is underway! Check in every day this week for our previews, interviews and exclusives on all the shows you got to watch!
Last Monday TV DivaGal attended a party for Fox’s new thriller series Gotham, which premieres tonight on the network. Billed as the prequel to Batman, walking up the steps of NY Public Library lined with “The Penguin” umbrellas, I knew this trip to Gotham would be no ordinary ride.
Inside the soiree, I ran into my pal David Zayas of Dexter fame, who revealed he’ll be joining the Gotham cast in episode three. Wonder if he’ll be on the good or the bad side of the law this time around.
File this under “Handsome TV Brother To Watch!” Andrew Stewart-Jones, who plays Detective Crispus Allen, revealed that his character will definitely have a twist this season, and it will be personally and professionally intertwined. When I implied that meant a love affair with Fish Mooney (played by Jada Pinkett-Smith), he replied, “I didn’t say thatΓǪ not that she hasn’t tried.” Can you blame her?
Speaking of Ms. Jada, who plays newly created super villian Fish Mooney — a night club owner with a violent mean streak — Sean Pertwee, who portrays Alfred the butler, shared that Jada’s awesome to work with and is really the kick-ass star of the show. After admitting that Gotham isn’t┬ánecessarily the most girly show TV DivaGal plans to tune into this fall, I pointed out what I really wanted to know was if Fish’s hair color would change with her outfits.┬á “See, there is something girly about this show,” Sean declared. Well noted, Alfred!
Catch Gotham, season premiere, Monday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on FOX. See more pics from the party on our DivaGals FB page.
