One show I always look forward to attending during New York Fashion Week is Malan Breton. We’ve been writing about his stunning work for years, and his shows never disappoint.

Arriving at the venue, Malan’s PR team escorted me to my front-row seat, just a few feet away from Kindness Is Cool queen and DivaGal contributor Luisa Diaz. It was the perfect view to take in Breton’s SS 2025 collection.

Inspired by fairy tales of the 19th and 20th centuries, with themes of betrayal, revenge and hope, Breton taught us all that leather can be a summer staple.

The sinuous looks are fabricated in leather, silk, summer-weight wools and silk brocades and are juxtaposed with sharp tailoring on soft tones of cream and tan into rich shades of silver and yellow. Models were accessorized with Ladies Coutura Collection watches by Seiko Watch of America, which sent guests home with a namesake small bag.

Breton composed the soundtrack for the show, which was deejayed by Zeke Thomas (Son of NBA Hall of fame point guard Isiah Thomas). I also got to try a health concoction by drinkmasteas.com.
