What To Wear For An Art-Filled Weekend In Indianapolis (Get The Looks From Amazon!)

Indianapolis, Indiana, is a hub of art and culture! I’ve had the pleasure of visiting twice, and of course, I worked the outfits. Here’s what to wear for an art-filled weekend in Naptown, along with some of our favorite Amazon dupes to recreate the looks!

For the 2024 opening of Home Again, three new sculptures in The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park at the museum Newfields: A Place for Nature & the Arts, I wore a white Calvin Klein button-down dress with a thick studded belt and stacked snekers.

The sculptures on display include the works of Pakistan-born, Indianapolis-based artist Anila Quayyum Agha (This is NOT a Refuge, 2018), New York-based artist Heather Hart (Oracle of Intimation, 2023) and artist couple Dana Sherwood and Mark Dion (The Pollinator Pavilion, 2020, second and fourth in pic).

This purple suit by Chokomode was the perfect choice to attend the 2023 preview of BUTTER, North America’s equitable fine art fair, founded by GANGGANG creators Alan and Mali Bacon. Artists receive 100 percent of profits from their sales at the annual art exhibition.

A black form-fitting dress and an oversized cream jacket were perfect to meet Damon Dash, who attended the 2023 BUTTER presentation. Tickets are now available for the 2024 Butter Fine Art Fair, which will take place at The Stutz in Indianapolis over Labor Day weekend.

There are tons of great hotels that celebrate the city’s artistic nature. The Alexander, a Dolce Hotel, pairs contemporary design with unparalleled hospitality. In every room, lobby and dining space, there is a piece of art designed to inspire, commissioned or curated by local and international artists. Keep the chill vibe alive in multicolored sneakers.

The Conrad Indianapolis, a Hilton hotel, is home to the renowned Collection Suites and a gallery of works from legendary artists like Warhol, Dali, Picasso, and more. The suites are spacious, and the indoor pool is divine! Showcase your tee from the Indy store Nap or Nothing at Conrad’s Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro, with self-pour stations featuring a large collection of wines.
