Cutie Matt Bomer admits he’s learned a few tricks of the trade for his role as con artist Neal Caffrey for his new series White Collar, which premieres tonight.

“Through my research I’ve picked up some social engineering tricks here and there, like how to pick pockets. And I had to assume the confidence you need in certain situations to get what you want, ” he says. The TV DivaGal won’t be standing next to him with an open purse anytime soon!

“I plan on keeping it to work and not using it in my personal life. I want to stay on the right side of the law,” Matt declares.

As the country’s top con, Neal partners with the FBI agent who put him behind bars to help solve crimes of greed and deception.

But the real reason Neal’s back on the outside is to uncover the mysterious disappearance of his woman, Kate.

“She’s the love of the and what motivates him to cooperate with the FBI, so he can get closer to her,” Matt explains.

Still, that won’t stop this lover boy from trying to kick it with other gals along the way.

“What’s wrong with a little bit of harmless flirting,” Matt chuckles. “Whatever it takes to get the job done.”

He may be no longer be behind bars, but he’s still a smooth criminal, ladies!

White Collar premieres Friday, Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. on USA Network.
