GAL APPROVED! Sip The Botanist, Soothe With Yantra & Shop With Gilt!By Delaina Dixon | November 10, 2017 | Gal Approved
SHOP. The best place to be this weekend is at the GILT Sample Sale in New York City. This dazzling array of designer clothing, shoes, accessories and home goods that are up to 80 percent always attracts the chicest NYC crowd. Come prepared (small handbag, so you don’t have to check anything in!) and full of possibility. At the media preview, we spotted a cocktail dress from Greek designer Mary Katrantzou – usually retailing for more than $1000, reasonably priced at $369 – and then it’s 50 percent off the sale price. There are also drinks sponsored by Cointreau, complimentary massages from PRIV and other goodies to enjoy. Get your tickets here and know – just like a good flash sale – they are going fast!
SIP. There’s nothing like a great libation – except for maybe making it yourself! That’s what the DivaGals got to do at The Botanist Gin Pop-Up Experience in Soho. This Scottish gem is foraged from its native land, hand-picked locally and distilled by a expert scientific team. It’s the first and only dry gin from Islay, a small island in Scotland.
At the Pop-Up, we mixed in a serving of Botanist with fresh beet juice, rose, sparkling wine and a few other ingredients and then got to add our own flavor with fresh herbs and oils, delish! Get yourself a bottle of The Botanist this holiday season and see what kind of cheer you can mix up this holiday.
SOOTHE (and SUPPORT!). We love a good multi-use product as much as the next DivaGal! So we loved learning about the hair care and lifestyle brand line YANTRA Beauty. Devoted to creating products that are multi-functional and gender neutral, we sampled the Reign Supreme hair serum, a weightless oil that adds smoothness and shine, utilizing oil from the Alexandrian laurel from the Polynesian islands, which is known as a restorative element for the skin. Yantra also offers The Bomb, a beard and cuticle balm: The company is also dedicated to giving back: when you check out from their online store, customers are given the opportunity to choose between multiple charities, who will then receive 10 percent of the total to help continue their causes.
