Dauntie on the Go: Delta One Is Getting a Major Glow-Up — Exclusive First Look!

As a self-proclaimed Delta girlie, I never say no to an invitation from my favorite airline, especially when it promises a sneak peek into the future of luxury travel. Delta Air Lines is rolling out its biggest investment and most holistic redesign in nearly three decades, completely reimagining the Delta One experience. Naturally, I had to see for myself!
A Sky-High Welcome
The glam experience kicked off on the 72nd floor of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt in New York City. The moment I stepped through the doors, the Delta team set the mood for absolute pampering. I was greeted with a hot towel, warm nuts, and a crisp glass of champagne—the ultimate “sip and settle” moment.
First stop? The wine bar, curated by Delta’s long-standing Master Sommelier, Andrea Robinson, who has been steering Delta’s wine program since 2007. Andrea showcased top-shelf Napa Valley labels, including icons like Silver Oak, alongside global classics.
A Michelin-Inspired Culinary Journey
Next up was a decadent three-course tasting featuring Delta’s new Michelin-star-inspired menu, developed in partnership with acclaimed Chef Simon Hulstone. Every single dish was an absolute masterpiece! I sampled everything from tender, slow-braised short rib to Hong Kong-style sea bass with authentic regional flavors.
Andrea paired each course with exquisite whites and reds and encouraged us to throw out the old rules: forget “white wine with fish, red wine with meat” and just drink what brings joy!
Other noteworthy dishes coming to the menu include the Delta One Wagyu Beef Burger topped with caramelized onions, cheddar, and cornichons on brioche. Delta One’s upgraded Dessert Cart also features classic sundaes with toppings and a dairy-free sorbet with an optional Champagne Taittinger float.
After-Meal Snooze
After a meal like that, I was ready for a serious nap! Luckily, Delta One is taking sky-high sleep to a whole new level.
The onboard comfort suites, rolling out on Delta’s new 350 1000s, coming Summer 2027, get a luxurious refresh featuring 24-inch screens, brand-new Missoni Mini pillows, designer Missoni amenity kits from the Winter Elsewhere collection (complete with our fave Grown Alchemist skincare), and the return of ultra-plush, fan-favorite Bombas socks. Yes, stretching out in your private suite will soon feel like a boutique hotel stay at 30,000 feet.
When to Catch the New Vibe
Ready to book your next getaway? Mark your calendars: The Culinary Overhaul & Amenities will roll out on select transoceanic routes starting in November 2026, while the Craft Cocktails and enhanced suites will debut in early 2027.
