Thanksgiving is just over a week away! This holiday season, we got some entertaining advice from The Chew co-host Daphne Oz ΓÇô Dr. Mehmet OzΓÇÖs daughter ΓÇô on holiday traditions, and a little scoop on her new cookbook!
We caught up with Daphne at a Pure Leaf tea event in New York City, where we got to taste test a host of their newest flavors. Chatting over tea (of course!), Daphne told us that as a busy mother of two, sheΓÇÖs always looking to share fast, easy recipes that are healthy and will satisfy the whole familyΓÇÖs taste buds. She shares some of her fave recipes in her new book The Happy Cook: 125 Recipes for Eating Every Day Like It’s the Weekend.
She then gave us sneak look and taste of one of her favorite cookbook concoctions, the blueberry tea cake. Daphne believes in using real ingredients like butter and sour cream, which give full flavor, so you can enjoy more on a smaller portion.
As for holiday traditions, Daphne shared that bringing her Turkish cultural heritage to the family meal  is still important today. “We cook with a lot of spices,” she shared, adding there will be lots of roasted vegetables, spiced meats and pumpkin-flavored dishes this holiday season.
All her dishes will pair nicely with a Pure Leaf teas, the organic, botanic brand in loose or bagged varieties that offers tasty hot and cold flavors like Pure Leaf Black Tea with Raspberry and Green Tea with Mint.
