Get The Celeb Look! Checked Inn’s Stylish Team at Akwaaba Mansion!

By   |   November 14, 2017   |   Entertainment, Food Fashion Style

We’re all gearing up for the premiere of Checked Inn, the new docuseries on OWN premiering Nov. 21.

Chronicling Monique Greenwood, former Essence editor-in-chief who now runs four wildly successful bed and breakfasts on the East Coast, she shared at a private media luncheon at Akwaaba Mansion, her┬áfirst location in Brooklyn N.Y., “We wanted homes where we could spend each season.”

We’re planning to share much more from the series opener and our Q&A session with Monique, husband Glenn and daughter Glynn – heir apparent to the Akwaaba throne – but first we have to say, these ladies know how to dress! Check out their style, and then get the looks for yourself!

We loved the way Akwaaba executive Melody Short paired this Zara Heron wrap top with a full skirt. Copy the bottom half with this ball skirt from Shein.com.

CEO (Chief Entertainment Office) Monique shows off her curves in this┬áCalvin Klein dress. Get the long-sleeved version for the┬ácolder months. Daughter Glynn’s MKRM frock┬áis from a boutique in Brooklyn.┬á Get a similar look with┬áthis African-inspired print dress.

The hair? Styled by one of our fave Diva stylists, Debra Hare-Bey of Private Parlor in Brooklyn.

Of course, we can’t forget about Monique’s dedicated man! Slay your boo in Ralph Lauren wool black pants, a┬áVan Heusen classic oxford button down┬áand this gorgeous black cashmere sweater for the look!
