GAL APPROVED! Bro/Sis Cause. Plus Hanging with Space Heroes, Schwartz & Sealy!By The DivaGals | June 17, 2016 | Dish!, Entertainment
SING! Or in this case, dance! Princess Cruises is launching their second original production from the house of legendary Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Wicked). Born To Dance highlights the dancers of stage through song, multimedia and of course, dance! The audience will get to see numbers inspired by the greatest choreographers of our time, including the Tony award-winning choreographer of Hamilton ΓÇô and a spectacular grand finale that’s sure to amaze. Fun fact, the show, which we sneak peeked in New York City, will head to Los Angeles, where your cruise dancers will learn and perfect moves before it’s taken on your fave Princess cruise ship. In the words of the talented team who have put this show together, it’s “inspiring, thrilling, emotional, alive, nostalgic.”
Look for the show to make its debut this October, only on Princess Cruises.
SUPPORT. Some may jokingly call us socialites, and we are ΓÇô for a great cause! Brotherhood/Sister Sol (Bro/Sis), the nationally recognized non-profit youth development organization, hosted its annual fundraising gala, VOICES 12, last month at New York CityΓÇÖs Gotham Hall. Bro/Sis is dedicated to helping youth complete high school, graduate college and become leaders. Their long game is admirable and worth supporting for anyone who appreciates the power of mentorship. The ceremony honored Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director counsel for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Damien Dwin, managing director and co-founder of Brightwood Capital Advisors, LLC. SEEK. Dream of going into space? How about hanging with the heroes who have been there? The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida is launching its newest attraction, Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, this November. TV DivaGal actually got to sit and chat with one of the featured legends, #WBWD astronaut Brian Duffy, at a lovely press luncheon inside the Vanderbilt Suites in New York City. He shared how he dreamed of going into space as a young boy, but having it become a reality has been majorly cool. He also shared how neat it will be for his great, great grandkids to one day visit the exhibit and see their granddad there! Know a hero who should be highlighted in the attraction (they don’t need space wings!). Post a video on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) using the hashtag #KSCHero and explain why they are YOUR hero! Follow the guidelines for Who is Your Hero? video submissions here.
SLEEP. SoooΓǪ you’re thinking about buying a new mattress? At the “Find Your Happy Place” event with Cocoon by Sealy, we actually tested out its newest design in soft vs. firm (we’re team firm!), and then got one shipped to our home to love for eternity. Our only problem?
The Cocoon by Sealy is so coolly packaged, we had a hard time wanting to take it from the box! Get yours at www.cocoonbysealy.com.
