Here are some great things to try and do this Labor Day weekend!
GETAWAY. Check-in and enjoy a stay at Black-owned Akwaaba Bed & Breakfast Inns. There are six locations and all are upscale lodgings owned by husband and wife team Glenn Pogue and Monique Greenwood. They have been entertaining guests and hosting intimate get-togethers since the early 1990s, as pictured up top. Pack a bag, take a drive then rest a while. Make sure to try their wines
WASH. We know that washing our hands helps fight the spread of coronavirus. But what if soap and water aren’t readily available? Simply Soap & Water is a solution to help you stay safe and healthy as possible. This small on-the-go cleansing and sanitizing tool offers a thorough hand-washing experience while on the go. Two bottles holding the soap and water are 1.5 fluid ounces each, conveniently sized to fit in your purse or pocket and comply with TSA travel requirements. It’s also safe for children returning to a physical school. Best part? Simply Soap & Water is a Black-owned business. Get yours for $9.99 and free shipping in the U.S. at simplysoapandwater.com.
