SEE. Just Mercy is the dramatized tale of Harvard alum Bryan Stevenson, who headed to Alabama after graduation to defend those wrongly condemned or those not afforded proper representation. One of his first cases was for Walter McMillian, who was sentenced to die in 1987 for the murder of an 18-year-old girl, despite evidence proving his innocence. Kobe Bryant and Terrence J hosted a special community screening of their new movie in Baldwin Hills, Calif., earlier this week. The movie has received six nominations for the 2020 NAACP Image Awards, including “Outstanding Motion Picture.”
SEE TWO. A diverse cast heads up the new female-driven comedy Like A Boss. Tiffany Haddish and Rose Byrne play best friends who own their cosmetics company which is in need of financial intervention. A buyout proposal from an industry titan, played by Salma Hayek, puts these lifelong friends to the ultimate test.
SEE THREE. Superstar Rajinikanth plays the role of a cop who must solve the case of a group of murders in Darbar, an Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss. Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas and Sunil Shetty also star.
