WATCH. Netflix celebrated the second season launch of She’s Gotta Have It with red carpet premiere of at the Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn. The star’s bright cast was on hand for the festivities, including creator, director and executive producer Spike Lee, executive producer Tonya Lewis Lee and cast members DeWanda Wise, Anthony Ramos, Fat Joe, Chyna Layne and many more. After the screening, guests celebrated at Gotham Market at The Ashland. Just in case you’re not in the know, She’s Gotta Have It is a “seriously sexy comedy and a rousing celebration of female empowerment,” with Bohemian, free-spirited artist Nola Darling (DeWanda Wise) exploring love, friendship and pursuit of creative passions. She’s Gotta Have It is currently streaming on Netflix.
WATCH TOO. If it’s ever been your dream to see Aladdin as a live-action film, now is your chance. Disney has made the classic animated feature IRL, with a diverse leading cast and Will Smith as the Genuine. The action/drama star brings his own swag flair to the role that was lovingly first brought to life by the late Robin Williams. Aladdin, currently playing in theaters.
