30 DAYS TO PARIS – How To Pack Light (And Find A Husband In 90 Days!)

By   |   May 7, 2018   |   Travel

In 30 days, the DivaGals are traveling to Paris! We’ll be there for the wedding of our one and only Image Gal Samantha von Sperling! If you recall, she met her incredible fiance during her “Find A Husband in 90 Days” challenge – and she came out on top! We can’t wait to read her book on the steps you need to take to find a husband in 90 days!

If we haven’t said it a 1000 times before, the DivaGals love to travel – how else can a multicultural gal learn about the world around her and rack up varied experiences┬áfrom around the globe? We say get out and get out often. There’s no better feeling than having that passport stamped over and over again!

But DivaGals, if you are traveling round the clock (or just every other weekend) know that a bogged down Diva isn’t the way to go! If you find yourself sitting on top of your suitcase trying to shut it close for a three-day getaway; if youΓÇÖre checking your list and wondering why your shoes and toiletries are taking up all the space; if you’re using your bathroom scale to try to determine if youΓÇÖll have to pay excess baggage fees after standing in an endless line at check-in,┬áyou aren’t packing smartly!

Here are three tips from the bride-to-be herself on lightening your load while traveling. You’ll spend less time worrying about leaving stuff behind and more time making memories that will never leave you!

1. Pick a Color Scheme. By packing clothes in a similar hue, youΓÇÖll be able to mix and match pieces in several different ways, which means packing less clothing to begin with. Blacks and neutrals are a great place to start ΓÇô you can add pop of color with smaller and less bulky accessories. Also think about where you’re traveling to. If’ you’re staying at the┬áRenaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa, you certainly won’t need a ton of jackets! Pick one that matches your color scheme and allows you to wear it in day and night. We favor a loose belted jacket that┬álooks great over jeans, and your party dress!

2. Scarf-ssorize! Speaking of accessories, make sure you pack the ultimate one ΓÇô a colorful scarf! A thin knit, colorful scarf can add a burst of color at your neck, become an extra layer of warmth over a simple dress and sarong your sexy bits at the hotel pool or beach. You can easily pack two or three and barely take up any room in your suitcase, and youΓÇÖll have endless style options all trip long!

3. Follow the ΓÇ£Three ShoeΓÇ¥ Rule. I know what youΓÇÖre thinking, ΓÇ£Three pairs of shoes only? Image Gal, please!ΓÇ¥ But if you are already following your pared-down color scheme, this shouldnΓÇÖt be so much of a challenge. I like to travel with knee-high boots with a low heel that can be worn with pants, leggings and even a dress. I bring a pair of funky sneakers that can be for casual outings and the gym, and one fabu pair of heels! OK, you can bring ONE more pair. A roll-up shoe, like the Corso Como ballet flat, can work at the airport (easy on and off at security check) and for a day-long walking excursion. With metallic, leopard print and grommet designs, they are even cute enough to wear out for a night on the town!

Lighten your load — and then put it all in your Max Mirani suitcase — and see how good and clean you feel!
