The Steps You Need To Winterize Your Wardrobe!By The DivaGals | December 3, 2015 | Food Fashion Style
Now that winter is upon us, it’s time to think about how well suited your wardrobe is to this time of year. There are probably some changes you’ll need to make; check out our suggestions below to look Divalicious when it’s cold outside!
Stock Up on Layers. Winter means layers, layers and more layers. You need as many comfortable sweaters, cardigans and jackets as you can cram into your wardrobe. A well-layered outfit can look really stylish. It’s all about getting the contrast and combinations right, and not simply piling on layer after layer. There has to be a method to the madness if you want it to look good! There are lots of things you can try out, but start out by investing in some new knitwear. We’re loving these thin knit sweaters.
Pick the Right Winter Colors. Light colors don’t always work very well in the winter, as you’re dealing with the elements that can stain your favorite pastels. It’s better to stick to darker and more neutral tones during the winter. But you can add some splashes of color to the outfit by picking interesting accessories in bold shades. And while black may be the staple color for winter outfits, why not try a pastel or bold hue on your nails with CND VINYLUX Weekly Polish, offering shades of Nordic Lights, Winter Glow, Glacial Mist, Tundra this holiday season.
Invest in a New Scarf. There”s nothing more comfortable in winter than a good scarf wrapped around your neck. You don’t realize how important they are until you step outside without one and feel that chill whip around your neck. They offer you a chance to add a new twist to your ordinary outfit too. Make sure you pick something that’s vibrant and bright. Your scarf can be brighter than the rest of your outfit during the winter, so take the chance to make your outfit stand out and look different.
Change Your Footwear. One of the most important changes to make is to your footwear. Having a comfortable pair of lace-up boots is essential during winter. They will offer you the level of comfort and durability that you need when you’re walking around a lot in the cold. With a dress, cardigan and tights, boots look great and offer protection.
Add Some Leather. Now that the sun is taking a break and it’s cold outside, it’s the ideal time to start adding a little leather to your outfits. A simple outfit can be made not only warmer but much more stylish simply by adding a faux leather jacket to it. It’s a small change, but it makes all the difference during the harsh winter months.
