NYFW Fall ’17 – Fall Fashion Must-Haves from NOLCHA!
By Delaina Dixon | February 16, 2017 | Lifestyle
Every NYFW, the DivaGals have a front-row seat to NOLCHA, a series of runway shows featuring emerging and global designers. This season was no exception, and the work presented was exceptional.
TV DivaGal personally attended the 4:30 sitting where three wonderful designers showcased their wears (pun intended).

ACID NYC. Design team Evelyn Luna and Scott Chester offer fashion for a chic apocalyptic sense of style (which may not be too far in the near future?). Skin-hugging pieces looked like machinery while shimmering chiffon-like fabric covered wearable body armor. See more from ACID NYC on our FB page.

Lavanya Coodly. Coodly’s featured looks are career inspired. Pictured here are a coat and pants that are 100 percent hand-woven soft Merino wool with silk, a 100 percent hand-woven cashmere scarf and a blouse that is 100 percent silk georgette.  The collection includes shift dresses that are totally hand-embroidered and a dusty, rose gold trench coat that is 100 percent hand-woven silk with a wool lining to keep it appropriate for the season.

Samantha Leibowitz. Everyday basics elevated. Think leggings with mixed textures, easy knits and convertible dresses in stop traffic hues.
Other designers of the day included Mariana Valentina, Son Collection, Just In Case, Chèlbè and Stevenson University, along with PromGirl and PromGuy.
