The best part of any fashion show is that last walk! It’s a chance to see all the models at once and see the cohesiveness of the collection of that season. With that said, here are a few we loved!
Jiri Kalfar. Using the novel Eugene Onegin as inspiration, Jiri draped his models in red tulle, blue silk and cream-colored lace in form of pencil skirts, blousy tops, patterned jackets and intricate dresses.
The Blue Jacket Fashion Show. A partnership with Johnson & Johnson, the 2019 Blue Jacket Fashion benefits the Prostate Cancer Foundation as it raises awareness for the disease. This year’s show featured inspirational celebs such as New York Jets’ Buster Skrine; Southside with You star Jerod Haynes; Murphy Brown star Nik Dodani; photographer Nigel Barker; Pose star Billy Porter, along with several prostate cancer survivors.
Son Jung Wan always gives us over the top glam. Metallics, fur, and flowing, floaty shapes … we loved every piece that came down the runway.
Hakan Akkaya A/W 2019 Runway plays homage to the ‘8’s with metallics, faux fur, fitted shapes, studs and dramatic shoulders topped off with retro hair. Everything that we loved in Billy Idol music videos! Lots of fun.
Indonesian Fashions Runway Show. Celebrating diversity and modesty; we love the head wraps! “Indonesian Diversity in cooperation with Indonesia Fashion Gallery presents 2Madison Avenue, Alleira Batik, Dian Pelangi and Itang Yunasz.” The Shows stage bringing her popular modest fashion all hijabi looks to the runway with a fresh modern vibe and an homage to street style. Itang Yunasz, one of Indonesia’s prominent modest designers is known for using traditional patterns such as Batik, Ikat, tie-dye and songket to create stunning modest fashion looks that are fresh and inspiring.
