NYFW Fall/Winter 2020: Mashell Goodluck’s Intergalatic Looks — Presented by TheKnockturnal.com!By Delaina Dixon | February 13, 2020 | Food Fashion Style
One of the best things about NYFW is witnessing an emerging designer’s collection. That is the case with Mashell Goodluck, a designer who hails from Saint Vincent in the Caribbean. He brought his out-of-this-world ideas to New York City, presented by our pals at theKnockturnal.com and sponsored by Shea Moisture and Lugz.
Mashell’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection was a futuristic journey: ideally what a would wear if they were experiencing life inside a space ship orbiting the galaxy. Indeed, the music pulsating as models took the runway sounded like air control guiding an intergalactic flight. Keeping a simple color palette of white, silver and yellow, Mashell offered looks for work, play and formal occasions.
The runway was filled with unique fabrications like sleeping bag materials, feathers and organza. Features like ruffles and sculpted shoulders were androgynous, appearing on clothing for men, women and them.
Our favorite piece? An egg-shaped orb dress with feather design that would be a showstopper on earth or in any orbit.
