As she comes towards the end of her 90 Days to The Comeback Image Gal Samantha Bessudo Drucker is getting her Corona Isolation Body in gear!
Image Gal is hunkered down in her New York City apartment. My husband Jeffrey and I have precautiously self-quarantined. Forced to create a silver lining for our own sanity, we’ve created a plan to make the most of a bad situation. We’re taking advantage of the opportunity to stay at home and have a seriously productive working staycation.
Instead of binge-watching everything on Netflix while eating our way through supplies, we have increased our workout sessions via WhatsApp with Boris Borbua (+57 314 5214104) from four to five times per week. He is like a walking encyclopedia of exercises! We might increase the sessions from 30 min to an hour, we shall see.
Meanwhile, I suggest searching YouTube for workout videos. Personally, I like Blogilates by Casey Ho. Getting regular exercise while self-isolating is going to be a crucial part of maintaining good health to keep your strength up and your mood elevated.
Here is an old-fashioned workout that gets the job done and does not require any equipment. I call it: “Samantha’s Corona Workout”
Pushups 3 sets of 20
Jumping Jacks: 3 sets of 50
Sit-ups/ crunches/ crossover crunches: 100 reps
Plank: 3 sets, each held for 1 minute.
Leg Raises on the floor: 3 sets of 30
Scissors legs on the floor: 100 kicks up and down
Scissors legs on the floor: 100 kicks open, crossover, switch
You can also refer to my celebrity Miami trainer Zach Fazz‘s DivaGals Valentine’s Workout Video. Turn on some music and get going (but if you just watch, we totally understand!).
And one DIY HACK: rubbing alcohol mixed with aloe vera gel makes hand sanitizer.
