TV PREMIERE WEEK! EmpireΓÇÖs Taraji P. Henson On Why She Went Natural!

The DivaGals are still smiling ear to ear after spending one magical night with the cast of Empire and Star at their premiere party, held at One World Trade Center this past weekend. Empire star Taraji P. Henson was rocking her natural ΓÇÿdo, which has been her look for the past few months. The DivaGals caught up with Taraji at NBC Press Tour Summer ΓÇÖ17, where she explained why she loves being natural off-camera.

“After the wardrobe fittings and table reads … I rush to my trailer to take the wigs off,” Taraji revealed “I think a lot of it had to do with me doing the big chop to is an identity difference, because you know, in my life in movies I wear a lot of wigs, and then it becomes what wig IΓÇÖm going to wear today as Taraji.”

Taraji admits that the lines started getting blurred. “I didnΓÇÖt go to my shrink about it,” she laughs. “But it was, you know, it was let me just chop my hair off, maybe I can disappear in the store — that lasted for about five seconds.”
