Vanessa Williams Honored At WP Theater Annual Gala – WATCH! Plus: Who She’s Wearing #SupportBlackDesigners

Vanessa Williams was honored at the Women’s Project Theater Annual Gala, which is celebrating 44 years of women-created theater projects. Broadway icon LaChanze presented Williams with the “Trail Blazer Award,” recognizing William’s singing, acting and humanitarian achievements. Watch below!

“Thank you for my Trail Blazer award. I do not take it lightly,” she shared with the audience at the beginning and end of her acceptance speech.

The Ugly Betty alum looked resplendent in a jacquard pantsuit created by couture designer Kevan Hall.

Pantsuits were indeed the item-du-jour of the evening. Media personality Rolonda Watts, who served as the night’s emcee, shined bright in a sparkly pantsuit inside New York City’s Edison Ballroom.
