Haven’t watched the Miss USA pageant in the past few years? We’ve got a great reason for you to root for the tiara once again. Crystle Stewart, Miss USA 2008, is the first black female to own the Miss USA Organization! Stewart acquired the licensing for Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants in November 2020. The first Miss USA competition held under Stewart’s reign airs tonight, Nov. 29, live from the River Spirit Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Okla., on HULU/FYI — all in time for Miss USA’s 70th anniversary!

Along with a website makeover, Miss USA has recruited some fresh faces to judge and host. Media personality Zuri Hall and celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta have hosting duties, with Ta being the competition’s first Asian host. Our pal, celebrity stylist and thrifting expert Ty Hunter join a diverse panel of judges to pick tonight’s winner.

You may remember Stewart from her roles in Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse and Acrimony. The talented actress received a star on the Walk of Fame at Perry’s Atlanta-based film studio in 2019. In her new role, she’s bringing on #pageantryreimagined, with a new incarnation of the competition that embraces more inclusion and diversity. On Nov. 27,  she crowned her first Miss Teen USA winner Breanna Myles. Myles is Florida’s first winner in the competition.

Make sure to watch the 70th Miss USA Pageant tonight, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on HULU/FYI.
