WE WERE THERE! Mahogany Browne And More Perform At Lincoln Center’s First Ever Poetry Festival—WATCH!

The Lincoln Center Poetry Festival was fire and our contributor Paige Richardson was there!
Lincoln Center’s poet-in-residence Mahogany Browne, acclaimed author of books like Black Girl Magic, sent shivers through the the audience Friday night, and we were there to soak it all in!
The atmosphere of the Griffen Sidewalk Studio at Lincoln Center was cozy, with pillows and pink lights to set the mood. The DivaGals sat back and relaxed to witness their first-ever roster of performers at the Lincoln Center Poetry Festival!
We loved seeing Samiya Bashir perform some of her words, and the evening just kept getting better as the city grew dark outside the windows.
The fun didn’t stop there. Set up just beyond the entrance was a place for attendees to get free custom poems: the DivaGals went home with a handful!
With a live DJ bumping some classic R&B hits during intermission and wine available at the cafe, the evening offered something for every diva to enjoy! There was laughter, gasps, and deep feels. And we divas can’t wait to do it all again!
