TV DivaGal just spent an incredible two weeks in California. Here is where to stay and eat in Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach and Ojai — you’ll have a blast!

Where To Stay In Los Angeles

In the beginning, I stayed in Los Angeles’ Hollywood neighborhood at the Kimpton Everly Hollywood, their new location in La La land. This is one chic boutique!

The views from the room are fantastic…

…with amazing views of the Hollywood skyline.

We spent the afternoon on the fifth floor, the location of the Everly’s Skyline Pool. It’s a perfect place to get some rays…

…and snacks.

We enjoyed a glass of complimentary wine during Everly’s happy hour in their lobby and then retreated downstairs to their cafe Jane Q.

Ordering from the large billboard menu, we tried the duck confit monkey bread…

…and the housemade shrimp sausage with spicy tomato and polenta.

Where To Nightclub In Los Angeles

We closed the evening at Mama Lion for the private debut of its supper club. We enjoyed an array of artisan cocktails and champagne as well as oysters on the half shell, gulf shrimp on toast, crispy avocado samosas and specialty cocktails.

We spotted #WBWD Bryan Greenberg vibing to the sounds of Dallas and Doll‘s live performance of classic hits including Michael Jackson and Prince.

Where To Eat In Los Angeles

The next day, it was time for another road trip. We went to Manhattan Beach to dine at the tiny and chic establishment Fishing With Dynamite. Who wouldn’t love a lunch of premier oysters, incredibly tasty fries and a chilled glass of Rosé?

Where To Weekend Getaway From Los Angeles

The funky sleepy town of Ojai is a 90-minute drive from L.A. in northern Ventura County. Invited to teach two fitness classes at The Oaks at Ojai, a healthy sanctuary for women in the heart of town, it was great to connect with ladies who have been visiting the retreat for decades (Oaks founder Sheila Cluff is an aerobics pioneer) to recharge and rejuvenate.

The renowned oasis offers fun cardio classes (we did kickboxing) and daily hikes (see if you can keep up with their 78-year-old guide, I was breathless!).

There are also yoga and meditation classes and water aerobics, along with enrichment programs, health-oriented lectures and cooking demos.

I loved our earthy cottage with its garden patio. It’s perfect for enjoying one of The Oaks healthy and calorie-conscious meals.

There’s also a full-service spa and gift shop off the lobby to get spa goodies for home.

The retreat isn’t too far from La Conchita Beach, where I soaked in the rays. but I didn’t get in the water (it was too cold!)

So, if you’re planning a trip to Los Angeles, make sure you have these cool spots on your radar for a lovely stay, wonderful food to eat and your must-have beach selfie!
