Our friends at Bang & Olufsen hosted a fete to reveal the first newly redesigned concept store on Madison Avenue in New York City and of course, the DivaGals were there! Inside the revolutionary space, we sipped champagne and celebrated as they presented their latest in luxury sound technology.
The new store design is a “breakthrough retail concept that evokes a true sensory experience and demonstrates Bang & Olufsen’s commitment to providing extraordinary consumer experiences.” The grand opening celebration was hosted by CEO Tue Mantoni and new president of Bang & Olufsen America Inc. Kathy Thornton-Bias.
Kathy shared that the new store concept features “a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere; the interior has been designed to captivate curiosity as you move through the store. This store concept will provide the perfect platform to interact and engage in the Bang & Olufsen universe of magical experiences.”
We were awed by the wall dedicated to showcase all of Bang & Olufsen’s best-selling speakers. When you visit the store you can listen to their selection of music, or have your own playlists streamed from your smartphones. This allows you to sample the sound experience: from the headphones and cube speakers to the larger models.
The back area of the store provides shoppers a chance to experience audio and visual products that can be customized for your home. Movies can be seen on the latest flatscreen technology with surround sound and multi-room entertainment sources through BeoLink system integration.
We also hit the after-party inside the Chambers Hotel, where we enjoyed our moment on the Bang-Olufsen carpet.
