Diarra From Detroit Comes Back This Summer for a Hilariously Messy Season 2

If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that Diarra Brickland will never get the peaceful summer she deserves.
We’re all just trying to enjoy our own Hot Girl Summer this year. Unfortunately, a peaceful summer is out of the cards for Diarra Brickland when Diarra from Detroit returns for season 2 on July 29 on Paramount+.
This time around, Detective Diarra’s plan to mind her own business falls apart when she’s pulled into a deeply dangerous trip into the criminal underground roiling the streets of Detroit. A simple mission to recover some furniture snowballs into dodging gang warfare, starring in a Tubi movie, and going undercover in a secret society. The drama never stops.
Creator, producer, and star Diarra Kilpatrick brings back the same hilariously chaotic energy that audiences loved in season 1. Others coming back to the screen include Phylicia Rashad, DomiNque Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark and others. Guest stars Morris Chestnut, Lovie Simone, and Method Man bring more life to this season’s messiness.
No doubt fans will be tuning in for the new eight-episode season—and if you haven’t caught up on season 1, now is your chance to jump into the action.
