It was a challenging weekend for many with the announcement of the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial. The 29-year-old was found “not guilty” in the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin. Dishing Diva has learned that the news even got to Bobby Brown.

Bobby was headlining a New Edition reunion concert at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, and sources tell Dish the singer’s response to the┬á verdict was visible.

“He was in town performing with Al B. Sure, After 7, Color Me Badd and then his other band Head of State, which is Bobby, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill, and he was very, very emotional,” the sources shares.

“Johnny said this was the first time in 20 years he had to hit the stage with a heavy heart. It changed the entire mood of the concert,” adds the source.

A verdict has been rendered, but there is much talk of a civil or civil rights suit being filed, so the case continues.
