The DivaGals love visiting restaurants, and we love it even more when we have a repeat performance.
So we didn’t pass up a chance when 525Lex sous chef Adam Tyler called us up personally to come down the eatery, located in the New York Marriott East Side, to try some of his signature dishes.
With our appetites in tow, we started the evening with the restaurant’s salt and pepper calamari, served with an orange-chili dip. Then it was on to two main courses: the fish of the day — a grilled halibut with lemon, extra virgin olive oil and veggies — as well as the restaurant’s pride dish ΓÇô lobster mac ‘n cheese made with local white cheddar. I don’t do dairy or pasta, but the chunks of lobster were so big, I could pick them out to still partake in the tasty dish.
Adam wasn’t done with us yet. For dessert he served an apple crisp, the one dessert made in house. And yes, it’s worth the extra round on the treadmill.
