DRINK. The Lobby Bar at Empire Hotel (located right across the streets from the tents) is at it again with its Fashion Week-inspired cocktail menu. One to try? ΓÇ£Thanks, It’s Vintage,” Empire HotelΓÇÖs regional beverage director Damon Dunay’s personal favorite. “First of all, the name is great,” Damon explains. “This is my special take on a classic Manhattan. ItΓÇÖs one of the few cocktails I can enjoy that is served in a martini glass, and made with my favorite spirit, Bourbon. The drink is enhanced with a cherry and when you finish this cocktail you are left with Bourbon soaked apples for a mini “dessert.” We usually skip dessert during Fashion Week, so we’re loving this! SEE. We learned that Ed Helms is a sweetie at the cast panel of Cedar Rapids, which took place inside Andaz, a hot new boutique hotel off New York City’s Fifth Avenue. So it’s easy to understand why women are just that into him in the new comedy. The Office star plays Tim Lippe, a sweet and na├»ve insurance salesman who heads to Cedar Rapids for his first industry conference, and gets into some crazy antics. Anne Heche plays Joan whose motto is, “What happens in Cedar Rapids stays in Cedar Rapids.” Says Anne of her character, “This is a man who Joan thinks she’s going to take on a ride for a little bit. What surprises her is the genuineness and sweetness of Tim, and he takes her on more of an emotional ride. She makes a genuine friend.” Cedar Rapids is now playing. (Destination Divas)
