SUPPORT. The DivaGals canΓÇÖt resist jewelry with a cause. Alex and Ani, which already creates collections that spread positive energy, was honored by children who are making a difference in the world at the GenerationOn Annual Benefit last month. Inside the┬áMandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, the DivaGals watched the incomparable Paula Abdul recognize and praise her dear friend Carolyn Rafaelian, founder, creative director and CEO at Alex and Ani, for the jewelry companyΓÇÖs commitment to youth service through its Charity by Design division. Alex and Ani partners with non-profit organizations to create custom bangles, and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the charities – $93,000 to GenerationOn alone. Local news anchor Maurice DuBois and his lovely wife Andrea were also recognized. Another highlight of the evening? Watching six innovative children with the vision (even in their early years) to make change in the world also received recognition as the Hasbro Community Action Heroes winners. Get your positive vibe on and give back at alexandani.com.

REDKiss

BLOW. Every find yourself blow drying your ‘fro with a comb attachment and twisting into the most uncomfortable positions because the handle is in the way? Not anymore with RED by Kiss Handle-Less 1875 Ceramic Tourmaline Blow Dryer. It has three heat settings and comes with three attachments, including two piks that can help straighten natural hair when you’re blow-drying.

ZAP. Need a neat tip for unwanted hair? Electrolysis! For you Divas with sensitive skin, give your skin a break from razors and try electrolysis to remove unwanted hair. The process consists of a few quick energy zaps (via chemical or heat) with an electrolysis device that destroy the growth center of the hair. After a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, the hair is removed with tweezers. Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis, including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, breasts and legs. There are generally no permanent side effects, but sometimes a temporary, slight reddening of the skin may occur. We love Berenice Electrolysis & Personal Beauty Center in New York City to get the work done!

WATCH. Last night, the DivaGals witnessed that even in an apocalypse, you can still be stylish. We attended a fashion show for the launch of TNTΓÇÖs new series The Last Ship, which premieres this weekend. Quick plot synopsis: a nasty virus has wiped out 80 percent of the population, and only one lone naval ship is the key to human survival (luckily that ship has Eric Dane on board!) Featuring lace and feather-infused sheer panel dresses and gowns, each design by was paired with an ornately decorated gas mask. Lesson learned? Fashion NEVER goes out of style. We give The Last Ship a big GAL APPROVED thumbs up for its diverse cast, which includes Charles Parnell, Christina Elmore, Jocko Sims and Max Hernandez. Catch the premiere of The Last Ship on Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. on TNT, and watch the final runway of the fashion show below!
