On Tone Up Tuesday, we get to feel the burn with Christina Ricci‘s trainer, Reggie Chambers.
Hard to believe that spring is just a few weeks away. That means a lot less clothing. Is your body ready for that?
Ours certainly wasn’t, that’s why we psyched to meet up with personal trainer Reggie Chambers. The fitness guru whips bodies into shape at NY Personal Training in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood.
Certified in pre-natal and post-natal training, boxing, and kickboxing, as well as skilled in weight loss and strength training, Reggie is best known for his unique approach to every client. He asked us what we wanted to work on most. Three words: hips and thighs.
With that in mind, and after a warm up on the treadmill, Reggie grabbed a BOSU and made us squat, lunge and jump. That woke our muscles up.
Then it was onto kickboxing, one of Reggie’s specialities. Making himself into a human punching bag with mits, “I’ve been hit a couple of times,” Reggie confessed. But he didn’t seem to mind as we threw kicks in rapid recession ΓÇô and trust us, we were feeling the burn at the end.
Reggie then strapped us into the Lifeline Pullup Revolution to work our arms and abs with pushups and pullups. Needless to say, we were done. But not quite, according to Reggie.
“It’s not a fad, it’s a lifestyle,” says Reggie says of his training philosophy. “You have to be willing to change your whole life around. If you are sedentary, you have to get up and move.”
To see real changes in our body, “You have to change everything ΓÇô your diet and your workout,” he declared. “You have to change the way you think.”
We hear you Reggie ΓÇô and thanks for making us take the stairs home!
