A Sensuous Diva has been restored!

Recently I took a very restorative trip to Cartagena, Colombia. Spending some time connected with nature, away from the bustle of the city and my smart phone, it was one glorious month to be alone with my thoughts and rediscover myself.

I took advantage of 6:30 am runs along the beach, the pleasure of eating delicious ripe fruit with my fingers, and the feel of warm sunlight on my skin — it brought me back to life, along with a 10 lbs. weight loss, without even trying.

Even if you can’t make it out of your own hometown, you can still rejuvenate yourself with these sensuous tips.

Invigorate your morning. Set your alarm clock one hour early. Spend the quiet hours of the morning writing, meditating, stretching — take some time to connect with yourself mentally and spiritually.

Eat green. Spend a day eating real, fresh food — fruits and vegetables, grilled fish, a great glass of wine. Your body will thank you.

Shake it. There’s a certain way your body feels when you’re dancing to hot Salsa┬á rhythms. Turn on some latin music, and let your body go!

It’s the little pleasures that will awaken your senses and help you come alive again.
